The
County of Ulster, hereinafter referred to as the "County" and the
Civil Service Employees Association, Inc., Local 1000, AFSCME, AFL-CIO,
hereinafter referred to as the "Union", declare it to be their mutual
policy that in order to promote harmonious labor relations between the County
and its employees, the principle of collective bargaining is to be employed
pursuant to the New York State Public Employees' Fair Employment Act and that
no article or section in this contract is to be in any violation of the New
York State Civil Service Law.
We hereby enter into such a collective bargaining agreement
as to the terms, condition of employment and the working condition for the
life of this contract, and unless provided otherwise herein all benefits will
become effective January I, 2002 and ceasing December 31, 2005.
